Some links on Coingsty are affiliate links. This page explains what that means, how those links are handled, and what does not change because of them.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to a third-party product or service — an exchange, a wallet, a tool — that may pay Coingsty a commission if you click through and take a qualifying action, such as creating an account or completing a signup. There is no extra cost to you for using an affiliate link instead of navigating to the same service directly; the commission, where one exists, is paid by the provider, not by you.
Where affiliate links appear
We may include affiliate links in guides, tool pages and other editorial content where a relevant product or service is genuinely useful to the topic at hand. We do not accept affiliate placements that would require us to describe a product more favorably than we otherwise would, and we do not add affiliate links to sponsored content without also applying our sponsored content labelling rules on top of the affiliate relationship.
What does not change
Whether a link earns us a commission has no bearing on how we describe an asset, a product or a risk. Our editorial policy and ethics policy apply identically to pages that contain affiliate links and pages that do not. We do not recommend a product solely because it pays a higher commission, we do not omit a product’s real downsides to protect a partnership, and inclusion of an affiliate link is not an endorsement that a product is right for you specifically.
How to spot one
Where practical, we try to make affiliate relationships clear in context, close to the link itself. If you are ever unsure whether a link on Coingsty is an affiliate link, you can assume any link to an exchange, wallet, trading tool or similar commercial service may be, and you should evaluate the product on its own merits — fees, security, terms — regardless of how you arrived at it.
Why we use affiliate links at all
Coingsty is free to read and does not charge for access to our data, guides or tools. Affiliate commissions, alongside advertising, are one of the ways we cover hosting, data and editorial costs without a paywall. We would rather be upfront about that funding model than pretend the site runs on goodwill alone.
Not financial advice
Nothing in content that contains an affiliate link is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Products linked from Coingsty carry their own risks, fees and terms, which we do not control and cannot guarantee. Do your own research, read the provider’s own terms, and only use a service you understand and are comfortable with.
Reviewing our own links
We periodically check that affiliate links still point to the service we described and have not been quietly swapped or redirected by a third party. If you notice a link that seems to lead somewhere different from what the surrounding text describes, please flag it — that is more useful to us than almost any other kind of correction, because a broken or hijacked link undermines the trust this whole disclosure is meant to protect.
